Zuzai Hizoke

I hold a certificate in teacher education from Madang Teacher Training College, a Bachelor's degree in theology from Pacific Adventist University in PNG, and a Master of Arts degree in Theology from Avondale College in Australia. Currently, I am pursuing my PhD in Missions from Andrews University in the United States. Before coming to Andrews, I served as the Local Mission Secretary. My research interests revolve around the Mission work in Melanesia, and I have already published a book on prayer. Currently, I am working on two manuscripts - the first one is about biblical hermeneutics, especially from an oral Melanesian culture perspective, and the second one is my autobiography titled "My History - His Story".

Personal Biography

Life can be unpredictable, and sometimes it can feel like you're navigating rough waters. But it's your response to the challenges that can ultimately shape your path. When I was only 4 and 14 years old, my parents disowned me. Despite this, I have been able to survive due to my faith in God and my determination to keep living.

Religious Education

In Genesis 1:27, it is stated that humanity was created in the image of God. However, sin has caused disruption and chaos in the world. Nonetheless, Christian Education aims to develop individuals holistically and ultimately restore the image of God. Every Christian Educator plays a crucial role in bringing about this transformation.

Christian Apologist

Receptivity to Christianity has not always been favorable for various reasons, including the origin of life. The mystery surrounding the reason for our existence has made it difficult for some to accept the Christian faith. However, Christian apologists can effectively explain the rational basis for belief in Christianity with tact and sensitivity.

Pastor-Teacher

All pastors entrusted with the duty of shepherding God's flock must also be teachers. This is a sacred responsibility that is emphasized in Scripture, where the roles of pastor and teacher are intertwined (Eph 4:11). While it may present its challenges, it is ultimately a fulfilling and worthwhile vocation.

Maturing Christian

Christianity beckons us to embark on a lifelong expedition where we are all tasked with aiding each other on our paths. As a Christian grows, they strive to become a reliable exemplar for those in their midst, even if they have not yet reached their own pinnacle of maturity.

Life-long Scholar

As time passes, knowledge progresses, as even prophesied in the Bible (Dan 12:4). It is the lifelong duty of scholars to ensure that the church remains up-to-date with the ever-increasing trends of our modern world. By staying current, we can continue to make a positive impact in the community.
